I read the book and saw the movie. I am now reading the next book in the series. Even though this is technically a teen novel, i really like it. You kind of feel like a teenager reading it. Much more steamy than "Dear God, It's me Margaret" from my teenage years!
and oh, what can say..you can't help but fall for edward.
Friends in the wilderness, eating mushrooms and getting murdered. Loved it!
Nightmare Man had a lot of fake looking blood, bad acting and bad makeup, but on the bright side girls, a few cute guys. For any guy who reads this you do get to see a few underwear scenes and some boob.
It all seemed predictable from the beginning. Then comes the twist, and not in a good way. It didn't seem to make much sense.
I also think its one of those you get a laugh out of how bad it really was done. So if your into that then it might not be a waste of your time.
I would say Nightmare Man was definitely too weird but if I had watched it with a friend we probably would be laughing our asses off!

Splinter was good and scary, at times the gross kind of scary. A cute couple decide to go camping and end up meeting, not by their choice, a Bonnie & Clyde type on the road.
This however is not the biggest problem they will have to face that night.
You'll be alright. Just don't get stuck with one of those splinters that grow and turn a person into well, something not human. This movie actually seemed like a fresh idea. Not the same zombie movie that I usually see. The weaselly but science minded boyfriend will explain it all to you.

Diary of the Dead was produced and written by George A. Romero. He has a long list of scary flicks under his belt. Night of the Living Dead and Creepshow are a few.
Zombies are out to get you in this one. However, you don't have to die by being bitten to become the undead. A bunch of college students learn that something is going wrong and flee their university in an RV, trying to get home.
One of the students is cinematography major. The perspective of the movie is from his lens.
This movie kept me jumping out of my seat. It was better than I thought it would be. I think its worth watching if your into zombies.

Midnight Meat Train is based on a short story written & produced by Clive Barker. You might remember Hellraiser from years back, a movie Clive Barker directed. You know your getting something scary & freaky when Clive is involved.
The movie is based on a photographer who is on a quest to get his artwork known. He travels the subway late at night to find some hardcore images that capture the city. He finds much more than he bargained for.
If you like watching a guy with a very large meat tenderizer beat subway riders to a bloody pulp then this is a movie for you.
You'll have to watch and see what happens to all the dead bodies or as he would refer to them as 'the meat'.
Brook Shields has a small role in the film.
